Young adults joined Jesuit Connections for our first event of 2023 on January 23. We discussed, “Finding God in the Movies.”

We do not have to look too far to find God. God permeates our lives through everything; the way we communicate, express, and entertain. Our imagination is a powerful tool to connect with God.

Through movies, we can imagine what we think is funny, romantic, scary and worthy of honor. Also, we imagine what is ideal, dangerous or out of reach. And witness a view of our human life through the lenses of our imagination. Watching movies can expose our human struggle and our dream for humanity in one art form.

Join Sindy Collazo, associate director of Hispanic Ministries for the Office of Ignatian Spirituality, as we explore some of the hidden treasures of our most beloved movies.

Sindy Collazo is the Associate Director of Hispanic Ministries for the Office of Ignatian Spirituality. Sindy received a master’s degree in theology from Weston Jesuit School of Theology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and an MBA from La Universidad Interamericana.
