Imagination in Conversation: An Immersion in Ignatian Imaginative Prayer

JoAnn Lopez, MDiv., Campus Minister at Seattle University, leads the discussion on immersion in Ignatian imaginative prayer on Nov. 8, 2021.

Join JoAnn Lopez, MDiv., online as we experience “Ignatian Imaginative Prayer.” Whether imaginative prayer is familiar or new to you, join us in engaging with the scriptures and Ignatian contemplation. We will share our reflections with one another, all while listening to the Holy Spirit creatively speaking in our lives and calling us to participate in God's dream for the world. Come experience the promise and possibilities of trusting that "what seizes your imagination will affect everything.”

JoAnn Melina Lopez, MDiv, is the Campus Minister for Liturgy at Seattle University. She enjoys listening deeply to stories, creating spaces and opportunities for reflection and prayer, and accompanying young adults in their journey of living the big questions at the intersections of faith, justice, and community.

JoAnn grew up in India and Singapore, where she learned the importance of hospitality, inclusion, good food, and how to live in a multi-faith and multicultural world. She has been immersed in Jesuit education and formation for the last decade through her experiences at Saint Joseph’s University, Boston College School of Theology and Ministry, the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, and now Seattle University.
